The annual
Mississippi College Wild Game Dinner is held each Fall and has become
the most important night of the year for the athletic department. In
just six years over $500,000 has been raised including a record-setting
amount of over $100,000 the last four years with Van Chancellor, Mike
Bianco, Jeff Brantley, and Sylvester Croom (2007 SEC Coach of the Year) speaking.
The money raised has
made a huge impact at Mississippi College by keeping Choctaw athletics
near the top of the American Southwest Conference and competitive on a
national level. Major improvements and enhancements have been made
through renovations of offices and facilities, the purchase of vans and
golf carts, and also moving the entire department into the digital age
with digital cameras, computers and software. The launch of
GoChoctaws.com was also made possible, a new website that provides
Choctaw fans will the latest online technology including live audio and
video of games. |
