MONDAY, NOVEMBER 29, 2010 -   We depart this morning from the Baptist Healthplex in Clinton, MS and enjoy complimentary doughnuts and coffee, as we begin our exciting holiday feature tour   in “Texas Country” – Houston, Fredericksburg, San Antonio, and Marshall, Texas.   We make our way to Houston for our first day, arriving at the hotel late afternoon with time to settle into our rooms and freshen up.   Tonight we will enjoy dinner together on our own at a local favorite, Little Poppasitos restaurant.   We will return to our hotel following dinner this evening. (B)

TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 30, 2010 -   This morning we will enjoy a deluxe hot breakfast at our hotel.   We will depart Houston and continue our trek towards San Antonio.   Following a lunch stop, we will have time to explore New Braunfels – the old German Market.   Here we will see a unique collection of homemade crafts and collectables for sale.   After time to explore the market, we load the motorcoach and transfer to San Antonio by late afternoon.   We will check into our hotel for the next three nights.   After time to get unpacked, we will all enjoy an evening on the historic San Antonio Riverwalk.   There will be several authentic restaurants to enjoy for dinner on our own tonight.   We will have a memorable time enjoying the boats with “River Carolers” passing by the guests and locals.     We return to our hotel later this evening. (B)

WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 1, 2010 -   An exciting day today as we enjoy breakfast together at our hotel this morning.   We begin our day heading to Fredericksburg, Texas.   Upon arrival in Fredericksburg, we transfer to the Christmas Market – full of those hard to find Christmas gifts for loved ones.   We will enjoy one of the authentic German restaurants for lunch today.   Our Veterans will enjoy touring the Admiral Nimitz World War II Museum this afternoon, complete with hundreds of artifacts from our “greatest generation” and the story of how we won the Great War.Following our Nimitz tour, we will head further down the road to the Lyndon B. Johnson ranch.   Here we will enjoy a guided tour of our nation’s 36 th President’s home and estate.   We will learn how LBJ came from poverty to our highest office, and all the accomplishments and struggles he faced during the 1960’s.   Later this afternoon, we make a final stop in Gruene, Texas – a charming western town frozen in time with quaint shops, a corner drugstore, and music venues which hosts Country’s greatest legends!   Tonight, we have reserved seats at a favorite restaurant for dinner included this evening.   Following our dinner, we will make the return trip to San Antonio. THURSDAY, DECEMBER 2, 2010 -   Enjoy a deluxe breakfast included at our hotel this morning.  Today, we will meet our step-on guide and enjoy a historical tour of San Antonio. We will see all the historic landmarks complete with a city tour, a visit to the Spanish Missions, and the Museum of Texas Cultures.  We will also enjoy a guided tour of the historic Alamo – an iconic piece of our nation’s history.  After we enjoy a delicious lunch at Casa del Rio, we will transfer to the Historic King William District, where we will tour the Steves Homestead – an elegant three story mansion built on the banks of the San Antonio River and maintained by the Conservation Society.  For a real treat this evening we will enjoy a narrated barge cruise along the Riverwalk.  This will certainly add to our Christmas memories as we return to our hotel following the cruise.  (B,L)

FRIDAY, DECEMBER 3, 2010 –   We enjoy a deluxe breakfast at our hotel before checking out this morning.   We say goodbye to San Antonio and make our way east to Marshall, Texas by mid-afternoon.   Upon arrival in Marshall, we are greeted by our step-on guide who will show us the colorful history of the area.   We will also enjoy touring many of the elegant homes, all decorated for the Christmas season.   This evening, will enjoy dinner on our own at a local restaurant.   We will check in to our hotel for the night.   (B)  

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 4, 2010 – We enjoy a deluxe breakfast at our hotel before checking out this morning.   We will visit the famous Marshall Pottery today and see the work of master pottery makers to enjoy and buy for gift-giving.   We will have lunch included today at the “Hungry Potter Cafe.”   We then transfer on to Clinton where we arrive by early evening full of Holiday spirit and many fond memories of our “Texas Christmas” extravaganza!
